Application of biomolecules for assembly of nanoparticles into nanowires and microcircuits
Proteins can form a variety of macromolecular structure, like filaments, or viral envelope. The covalent or non-covalent binding of proteins to nanoparticles makes possible to assemble them into filaments or certain patterns. Currently we are using polymerization of actin to assembly of nanowires. We plan to make semiconductor nanowires and study their properties. The work is supported by URI foundation.
