Housing, Food, and Travel Support

The institute will cover the cost of dormitory housing, reception, and will provide coupons for most of the meals to participants from NATO and NATO-partner countries.. To maximize interactions, participants and lecturers will be housed close to each other in a Cornell University dormitory (high-rise 1) and in town houses. If you prefer to stay in a local hotel, you will be responsible for your own reservations. Travel support may be available to participants from Turkey, Greece, and Portugal.
NATO countries are: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.
NATO-partner countries are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Latvia, Lithuania, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

Participants who wish to be housed in a Cornell University dormitory will be provided a single-occupancy room with shared bath rooms. Basic level housekeeping service will be provided, which includes the bed made upon guests' arrival, fresh towels, and soap. Housekeeping will provide fresh linen once a week. A limited number of 2-bedroom town houses may also be available for approximately an additional $500. These have daily housekeeping service.

For those participants who prefer to use a local hotel we would recommend the following. (Rooms are not being held at these hotels and you are responsible for all expenses and making all arrangements.) Van service is available to and from the airport and campus.
