Institute Site

The setting for Cornell's main campus combines the pastoral landscape of a rural area with the cultural offerings of a larger urban environment. Situated on a hilltop overlooking the city of Ithaca and Cayuga Lake, in the Finger Lakes region of New York State, the beautiful 745-acre campus includes about 260 major buildings interspersed with gardens, wood lands, gorges, and waterfalls.
